Fit excavation around the wider programme

On a busy site, a small area of excavation can hold up several following activities. You may need to investigate an obstruction, expose existing infrastructure or remove material from a defined working area before the next trade can proceed.

Tell us what happens before and after our visit. A brief that identifies the work area, handover point and other site operations helps us discuss an excavation scope that fits your programme.

Consider the whole work area

The route into site and proposed truck position matter as much as the hole itself. Include photographs showing access, nearby structures and any restrictions, alongside the expected material and approximate volume.

Where work is phased, list the separate locations and explain whether they need completing in a particular order. If the scope changes as the ground is opened, discuss the revised requirement and any effect on time, charges or material handling with the team before further work is agreed.

Planning your job

Send the location, approximate volume and depth, material type, site layout and proposed work sequence. The scope, travel, diesel and disposal arrangements will be agreed as part of the quotation.
